2.5 Inch 686-1, My First L Frame
Never owned an L Frame. A lot of J, K, and a few N, but never L until last night. Traded with a friend. A 340PD and some cash for this snubbie 686-1. It was his idea, so I can blame him for the second, third, and fourth L Frames when it happens. A 2.5" 586 would be nice.

Nice 686 snubbie!
I had one of the LH 2 1/2" 686s back in the 80s, and it's on the short list for replacement. Only one has shown up locally in years, and it was pretty ratty. I've been watching auctions, but haven't caught the right one yet.

I like the short barreled L’s more than K’s.

Great looking 686, especially with those stocks!!! A 2 1/2" 586 will be very hard to find, but there may be some left out there somewhere (at a premium price of course). But there is always the thrill of the hunt.

That’s a great example. Congratulations!
The 2.5” 686 is one of my favorites, especially the -4 7 shot.
I currently have:
686 ND LH without the M stamp
686-3
686-4+ 7 shot

Great looking guns!
I have a 586-4 and a 686-3. They're keepers.
