I saw one at a local gunshow but the dealer was away from his table and I did not get details on it. It was pretty expensive ($2500) so I did not pursue it but it made me wonder about it.

Are they still made? If not how many are out in the wild? Are they 6,7,or 8 rounds? Moon clips only or either? Are / were they Reliable?

The Perf. Center made revolvers & one 1911 style in 38 Super. Which style did you see?

Moon clips = revolver?

The revolver is the M686-7. Six shot, moon clip .38 Super.
I don't know if it will shoot without clips, the only ones I have seen in action were in IDPA where fast reloads with clips was the whole idea.

Sounds like big money for what is now a novelty item.

There is also a 627 in 38 Super - I know as I have one! i believe they are fewer than the K frame offerings.
