Walked into a gun shop I deal with today to take a look at a few 1911's they had in stock. I always walk by the used gun show case on my way to the front and there it was. A model
681-4 PC. So guess what came home with me?

Just beautiful! Very, very few 1911's could keep me from buying that 681 ! As a matter of fact, no 1911 could have kept me from the 681 as 1911's are a dime-a-dozen around here and that is one of the few 681's I have ever seen.

You did real well!

Congrats! Not only a 681, but the 7-shot PC 681!

Probably one of, if not the, top carry revolvers ever made. Enjoy it. Regards 18DAI.

Wow. A regular 681 just seems, sorta, inadequate compared to that one. Nice find. And good snap decision!

So, a 681 is essentially a 686 but with fixed sights?

Nice wheel gun !!

Yep. There was also a 586/581 series in carbon steel, offered in either blue or nickel.

Well THANKS A LOT! Now I have to add another gun to my ever-growing S&W wish list.

Seriously, that thing looks like it would make a very nice defence revolver. Nice find!

If 1911s are a dime a dozen I'll take a dollars worth. All kidding aside, that is a very nice 681.
