Newbie here but this is a great site and I have learned alot today. I hope I am in the right forum. I inherited my first S & W pistol and want a little information on it. It is a Model 36-2 and the serial number is BEVXXXX. It is nickel plated, with an 1 7/8" barrel. The grips are wood without the diamond around the screw. From looking around on the site, I believe this is a 1988 or newer pistol but I am really not sure. I thought maybe the experts on this site could tell me about how old this pistol is. Not worried about value because I would never sell it. Just want info on what I have. Any info would be appreciated.
