I know .357 bullets less than 158 grain should generally be avoided in the K frames due to forcing cone issues, but I have 38 rounds of the Winchester 110 grain HP's left from 5 years ago when I bought the 66-2 I have ( 12 bucks a box for 50 rounds-remember those days?). I have heard that modern 110 grains are nothing like the 110 grain ammo made in the 70's when the K frames were experiencing the forcing cone issues. Anyone more knowledgeable than am care to comment?

I shoot 125 grainers out of my 19 occasionally. I wouldn't shot 500 straight out of it but a few hear and there will not kill a K-frame.

I think that it can be safely stated that the 38 rounds you have will not hurt the K-frame at all.

Even the new WW personnel defence budget 110gr. hp is mild at only 1200fps. And mild

I agree with this. The 110 grain .357 duplicated the ballistics of the so-called 38 Special Treasury load, a 110 grain 38 Special, +P+. So, if you want to know what they had back in the 70s, shoot away. It would take alot more than what you have to do any damage.

So is it only the 125 grains that slam the forcing cone? Since the 66 is no longer made, I don't want to hurt it!
