I tried to find some reveiw of this 327 before I purchased it, but could not find much. So here is my review. I fired 25 each of 38s & 357 158gn. HP commercial ammo. The recoil on the 38s are no problem at all. The 357 are close to the 44 mag. Ruger hawk my cousin has, not painfull, but not something you want to shoot all day. I had the wood grips, it also comes with rubber that may soften things up a bit, never liked rubber myself. The rear sight is a V notch, don't really care one way or the other on that. It feels great in the hand as I have a larger than average hand size. The two negatives that I have with it are the trigger pull DA is enormous, must be near 14 pounds, my lyman gauge only goes to 12, it would not register at all no matter how carefully I pulled it. The single action is 4-9oz. This was after 2000 dry fires. The trigger is smooth! The other complaint would be trying to clean burn marks off the alloy cylinder, not the front, but the fluted area. Its not to bad but will not come off completely, like a stainless. I have tuned the trigger down to 10lb-11oz DA. I have the 686SSR with 7-4 oz DA for competition type shooting anyway. I don't want to go lower which I could, I will winter carry it and want it 100% with any primer. The SA dropped to 3-14oz. The targets are not to distant as it really is a defensive weapon. I did shoot a group at 25yd. they were about 3 inch group, about 2 1/2 inchs high, but in the center. That was most likely me rather than the 327 as I have not so great eyes, one operated on twice, the other has artificial lense, not an excuse just not wanting to blame the gun. These targets were off a pistol rest.
