Hey guys! Thanks for all input on my "old" questins!
Here is a nother one..
I found this gun at work...
Its missing the original gripp and pin to secure the gripp, got box and manual.

Is there some nice person that have a pic of a gun from the same run? if I am not wrong they only made 2500 of this model with 6" barrel.

Like to see what grip it had as the Houge that mine had probbably is the wrong one.

Sorry for the big fat thumb print on the sylinder will wipe it of when the gun goes back in box.
And please if some one know what a gun like this might be worth? hope the $285 i payd isnt to much
Thanks Mats.

Dude,

You stole that gun for $285! I don't know on the OEM grips, but I'd bet on a set of Uncle Mike's RB to SB conversion grips.

Those gripps does not look like factory?

I kind of want to make it "like new" its been fired by the prior owner, but i have a bunch of equal guns and use a 6" for PPC and a 586 4" NICKEL as my duty gun. This one i might just keep for the Joy of finding one!

No i didnt stole it just got a great deal from some one who didnt know what they had and got what they asked for it!
Not my foult they didnt ask me what i thought it might be worth! I am a rather honest person.

This special production run came with Hogue finger groove grips, hence why mine above is sporting Spegel Boot grips. I see no real value in keeping newer guns "original" if they came with rubber grips, just my thing.

As for the production info, here's what Roy Jinks provided some years ago to collectors in a Special Products listing:

-Produde code 103591 - 4" bead blasted finish, blue, Hogue grips, April 1989, qty - 1969

-Product code 103592 - 6" bead blasted finish, blue, Hogue grips, April 1989, qty - 1995

Very nice gun!

BTW - I'm sure Wayne's comments are in the purest term 'positive', meaning you got a great deal, no-one is trying to suggest you are not honest.

Thanks for the info! Mine have the black houge finger grove grip, so i do have a complete gun!

I didnt take it as some one tryed to tell me i was seteeling the gun! I have to say i do feel a little werry little guilty there of...

Any idea what a gun like this is worth?
If there was only 2500 made (from the S&W book)

At the same time i was offered a 586 6" Brazilian gun 38 Spcl for $375 and had two 29s on layaway.. some time they hit u hard!
No i didnt get the 38 but shure wich i did!

Mats.
