637 question on frame wear

Hi all!

I'm new to this forum since I purchased my first ever revolver. It is a 637-2 and I've shot about 60 rounds through it. I had a question about some frame wear I noticed on the revolver. Forgive me if this is normal, but this is my first revolver and I wanted to see what others thought. In the pictures below, I noticed wear on the frame where the extractor star rubs on the frame when the cylinder is closed in the frame.

Is this normal wear and I shouldn't worry, or is something wrong with my gun and I should contact a gunsmith or S&W. Thanks in advance for your help!

That's normal. Every revolver I've ever owned has done that.

I was really pretty worried that maybe something was out of spec on it, but wasn't sure being this is my first revolver.

This is going to be my every day carry gun while I'm waiting on my TX CHL to come 15 days down (45 more at least to go)!!!

Normal. Welcome to the world of S&W. There is not one thing wrong. Go shoot the hell out of your great revolver!
