I haven't been into revolvers in a couple of years (been buying-up hi-end 1911), but I came across this 25-13 Mountain Gun in a local shop. Used, but unfired. At $435 OTD, I couldn't pass it up. Luckily, I still had all the accessories and ammo form the last .45 Colt I sold about 2 years ago.

After seeing all the awesome pics of other Mountain Guns, I figured I'd add a few to this forum.

I want one. Next to 44 Special, 45 LC is my favorite caliber. Great find!

Sir, good on ya. The .45 Colt Mountain Gun is definitely one of Smith's better ideas.

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

I have had one on layaway at a local shop for so long that it will be eligable for C&R by the time I get it out of there. This shop lets you put things on layaway forever with no interest. I make very small payments on it. Guess I will have to go and get it after seeing your pics. NICE!

I had a 625 Mountain Gun in .45 Colt that I got in the early 1980's. I stupidly traded it. I don't even remember whet I traded it for. I got home after I did it and called the shop back to see if it was still there. I was going to buy it back. The guy there told me it was already sold. I think he or one of the other employees took it. I have always regretted that!

Last Spring, a local shop put an new 625-9 in .45 Colt out on the the shelf for sale. It bugged me every time I went in there. Yes, it has the MIM and the dreaded IL and the price was not cheap. Nobody bought it for about 4 months. I was surprised. So, last month I got it. It shoots beautifully and I reload the ammo for CAS and so it uses the same ammo that I use for play. I remembered how nice the first one was and it is my favorite revolver for the range and woods carry....

I bought a 25-13 3 or 4 years ago. It is a very nice revolver in spite of the dreaded IL. It used to be my house gun. I recently purchased a 24-3 3” that has become my current house gun.
