Please do, I looked for a long time trying change the dovetail front sight to a fiber optic front sight. These old eyes see those Fiber Optic sights a lot better.

Here's mine a 627-0 model of 1989. I added the patridge front sight because the original red ramp was converted to a night sight.

625 did you add the base or cut a slot in the old base? It does look nice.

I used a stock S&W .278 patridge front sight. I had to drill a hole in the new sight in order to use the factory pin.

They are a good looking and shooting gun. All of the ones posted, it would be hard to pick just one - very hard.

Thanks for the link to the 3/8" dovetail HiViz sight... I will try that for my JM 627 below.

I shoot the new 627 Pro a lot more, but the older one has a sweeter trigger.

Well, I'll show ya' THREE of mine...my "Favorite" is NOT in the pic...it is in a "State of Indecency" right now, having been fired a BUNCH w/lead-bulleted ammo very recently...the cylinder and yoke are currently in a Peanut Butter Jar full of Hoppe's, soaking...
FWIW, it is a "Plain-Jane" regular-production 627 with the five-inch "Slabbed" barrel, just like the middle one in the pic...EXCEPT it has a Randy Lee hammer and a Randy Lee "Action Job"...REAL SWEET!!!...Hope you enjoy....mikey357

Mike, I'm surprised that you didn't show us a picture of your 327 TRR with the Apex Tactical (Randy Lee) hammer and action job. You shot them BOTH at the 2009 Georgia State Steel Match, correct? Is the 327 TRR "Bathing", too? Paulie686.

Paulie:
The 327 isn't in the pic 'cause it's a 627 thread...altho' the 327 IS "Neat"...

I DID shoot two Revo's at the 2009 State Steel Match...I shot the 627 in "Limited", out of a Blade-Tech "DOH", and shot my 686 five-inch "Half-Lug"--the one with the Randy Lee "Action Job", NOT the one John T. has worked on--in "Revo".

FWIW, I shot the 686 MUCH better...'course, I WAS drawing it out of the new "Ghost" RACE HOLSTER Mrs. .3-5-7 got me for Christmas...gotta' LOVE a woman like that, dontcha?!?!....mikey357

I like my 627PC. It's probably my third favorite revolver behind my 24-3 and 625-6 Mountain Gun in .45 Colt.

I snapped this picture while it was sleeping.

I've had 7 627s over the years. Since I shoot ICORE it helps to have the extra rounds even though stages are 6 shot neutral.

I keep changing models to see what I like best. I wore one out a few years ago. Gunsmith told me he didn't think he'd be able to save it so I bought another while it was in the shop. He gave it back to me nice, tight and working as good as new.
