Are Craig Spegel's Centennial boot grips the same as his "high horn" grip?

Craig makes three styles of J frame grips. The standard grip is not a high horn, but will work on all J frame variations.
His Centennial does extend up in a "high horn" fashion, and will not work on other models.
His Bodyguard style also extends up higher than the standard grips, but only work on the Bodyguard.

Then a Centennial boot grip will fit high on my 442.

The Spegal Centennial Boot grips are the very best available for the hammerless J Frames.
They allow you to grasp a bit higher on the frame, this gives a better grip & help reduce felt recoil too.. Craig Spegal Is the Master..
Gary/Hk
Note: Two Lower Centennials with the "High Horn" Spegals compaired to the factory wood 342Ti Grips. The Middle Set are about 20 years old & the bottom were made last year..

I agree, Spegel is the master. To me, his are the absolute best.

I bought a set of the factory Dymondwood grips like the set you have and promptly sold them.
You can see the sharp contour on the left side of the grip that sits over the top of your middle finger. This felt very uncomfortable to me. The pics easily show how much more radiused and rounded this area is on the Spegel grips, making them much more comfortable for this user on my Centennials and Centennial Airweights.

You are Correct Malysh, The Spegels are indeed the "BEST" I've ever tried, That's Why S&W went with his copies aka Uncle Mikes Grips on most revolvers through the 90s to today
I have removed the Dymondwood set from the 342Ti & have Uncle Mikes Boot Grips on it currently, There in storage in the 342Tis Case.
Those sharp edges & contours just don't lend themselves to shooting or concealed carry..
I've tried several other grips trying to find something that I can live with but still haven't found the perfect balance between feel & concealability that the Spegals offer..
I'm Still Looking For a Set of Eagle Secret Service Grips to try on my 342 but will probobly bite the Bullett & Order another set From The Master Grip Maker "Craig Spegal"
There Expensive but you get what you pay for in this world.. "THE BEST"
Gary/Hk
Here's another pic, Notice there's two sets of the Dymondwoods in this pic, The Other set was on lone to me from DC7 & now reside with it's original revolvers owner in storage..

Now, if he would only make them for the new reissued Centennial so I could get rid of the beautiful, yet fragile and cheaply made, factory grips.

I completely agree that Spegal Boot Grips are the best. I have them on my 640 and Mod 13.

I certainly agree. Craig Spegel makes the best grips for my hand. I have multiple sets on Js, Ks and Ns, in both boot, hi-horn, and extended.

A phone chat will assure you get what you want and it's worth the wait.

FYI: I spoke with Mr. Spegel about 3 weeks ago, and he does plan on making grips to fit the 40-1 frame. I put my name in the queue for a set. You might want to do likewise. (I modified a set of standard J-frame Boots to fit my 40-1, but I'd prefer some specifically made for it.)

That Nickeled 40-1 Just looks Great with those Spegels on it.. I'm also sure that they allow an easier function of the grip safety..
NICE!!
