My 657 came with the standard pinned black sight. I have trouble with it in subdued light like in the woods. Should I replace it with a fiber optic sight or a gold bead? If fiber optic - then which is best - orange, red or green? I realize that this probably has been answered before but couldn't find it!

I vote for the Green fiber optic.
Fares the best for mature eyes.
I have on my 1911 and it serves me well!
I have never had a gold dot for camparison.

I put a gold dot on my M25. In good light it shines well, but with dim light or little light from behind, even the gold is hard to see. I'd go green fiber optic especially if you are going to hunt with it.
