What gun would you buy if S&W would build it?? (assuming they could build it to a level of quality like this - pure fantasy) Here's my choice, hands down!

This came to fruition with a clone of Bill's 3", fixed sight .44. Man, what a handful!

I think an N-frame or X-frame .22 Hornet would be very cool, but I would really like a custom built .32 S&W long, like a PC Model 16 or a PC 932 Target Semi-Auto for NRA bullseye.

Nice! I love those fixed sight, heavy barrel N-frames. I wish SW had made a .44 magnum version of the model 58. Add that to my short list since Bill probably won't sell me that fixed sight 44 mag!

I would like all the ones that we all wanted in the old days, the ones S&W built for agency orders, but never offered commercially except through overruns:

3 & 4 inch 19 and 66 with ramp front
5 inch 15, 67, 19 and 66 with ramp front
5 inch 29 and 629 with red ramp/white outline
3 inch 10, 64, 13 and 65
Models 60 and 640 in original 38 configuration
686 in 7 shot Mountain Gun (tapered barrel) configuration
3rd Gen TSW Autos without rails in 5906, 4006, 4566 and 4506. Oops, almost forgot the excellent little single stack 9mm - is it the 3913?

That is a pretty good start.

The revolvers can all have the new frame with the cylinder lug (not sure if that is correct name) forged on, but I prefer no internal lock and the firing pin on hammer. MIM parts are OK, but prefer forged, just because.

You asked. . . .

Easy, a 627 in 9mm 8 shot moon clip fed, Why because 9mm cost a lot less then 38. that means more shooting time.

I want a Model 3 in .44 Russian. I'd like a 5" barrel... but even a 6.5" would be nice.

+ 1 more for the night sights!

This is one of my favorite Smiths that was made in the late 90's. It came from the factory with night sights! Why did they stop???

Here is my thing, S&W came out with the night guard series. The gun has a front night sight. and a solid BLACK rear sight. what good is that in a shoot out??? The C&S rear sight is thick enough to add night sights why didn't they just add the rear night sights? does not make sense to me. but what do I know I only carry during the day and night.PROFESSIONALLY

I would like to see an X frame in .429 (either a shortened frame for the 44 Mag, or a longer 44 Mag type cartridge).....fixed sights, 4" barrel, no full lenght underlug, fluted cylinder.

The fact is most everything we wish for has already been built at one time or another. Just build it again so we can find one! Oh, I am sure we can dream up a custom touch or so that wasnt done to a certain model or a 4 1/2" barrel or whatever. Several mentioned a hornet on a N or K frame. Well, the model 53 jet was even better! The idea evolved from the harvey K-chuck that somebody built in the 40s.
I think they should have a custom dept, that would have all types of parts in bins that they already have made and just let us order our own custom order and fit it up, barrel, round or square butt, what grips etc. Colt should do the same. I just dont see why that should be so hard to do!

8 shot, 3 1/2" slim barrel, round butt model 27 with no lock or a lock relocated to someplace where I don't have to look at it, think about it or deal with it if I don't want to. I think that is more than reasonable.

I think if S&W simply reproduced the TRUE old style diamond grips in magna and target...TRUE copies of the old grips...they could make me happy and their shareholder a profit.

I'd be happy with any of the popular old K or N frames Classics.

All no lock no MIM no rubber grips.

My dream gun currently is a Model 35 in good shape. Box/paperwork/cleaning kit would be nice. I want a shooter. beaver.

NO LOCK----Anything.
I would love to have a Model 22, K17 with 5" brl, M27 with 3 1/2" brl, and a 22/32 Kit Gun.

I'll take a blued K frame in 10mm.

For those of you who mentioned wanting a K frame in .327, Hamilton Bowen is doing the conversions and seem to be coming out really nicely!

two guns, first off, a 338-(model 38 with the titaniun cylinder al la the 337 and the 342) second, and this is a stretch, a 38/44 HD in Stainless and chambered for the .357-hell, make it an 8 shot while you're at it. I'd buy either one of these even with the lock.

The actual "Classic" revolvers with no IL and the old type hammer and cylinder stop and real trigger not the folded metal thing would be nice. Any models they have out now but made that way would be top of my list. A model 22 and perhaps a 622 with a 3-3.5" barrel would be desirable. Also, night sights would be good. I have a 66-1 2.5" that was fitted with night sights and given an action job. It is very nice!

627, 8 shot, 3 or 3 1/2 slab side barrel, no lock. Or a Bloodwork gun, no lock, fluted cylinder.

Off the top of my head, without the internal lock, magnum frame, or MIM parts, and with the firing pin where it belongs:

-A .44 Special 5-shot the size of a Charter Arms Bulldog but with the centennial frame and a dovetailed or pinned front night sight.

-A fixed sight version of the 625 (621 or 622 perhaps) in .45ACP with 3" or 4" heavy barrel option, or a 4" pencil barrel.

-A 681 with a round butt, 3" heavy barrel, and 7-shot or 6-shot cylinder options. Dovetailed front night sight, and optional DA/SA or bobbed hammer DAO.

-Bring back the 3" HB 13 and 65.
