I've got a 696 no dash that I'm getting ready to pour some bullets for. I have a set of pin gauges, which tell me the cylinder throats are .428 . This seesm kind of tight, and I'm very curious to know my barrel dimensions. Does anyone know of a reliable method to slug S&W's five groove barrel ?
