Hi all! I stopped by a local haunt yesterday after finishing my Christmas shopping, when what did my wondering eyes see but a S&W in the used case. It was a 6" model 686. Now I really didn't need another 686, as I already have a 686-3 4" in 6 shot, and 2 -4s in 7 shot, a 2 1/2" and a 6". But you know how it is. It's very hard to resist a lonely Smith staring up at you in need of a good home, especially around the holidays. The gun was wearing its original goncalo target stocks and came with a pair of Pacmeyers as well. It turned out to be a 686-2, serial # AWZ1xxx. The gun was clean and shows no sign of having been fired, but no box. Interestingly, it also has a trigger stop, a feature none of my other 686s have. I couldn't resist when it was offered to me for $350 OTD, and it came home with me. I was surprised to see in SCSW that the 686-2 was made for only 1 year, 1987. In anyone's experience, is this a harder dash number to find for this reason? So, what does everyone think, good deal?
Here are a couple of quick pics:

Very good price. I picked up this 586 approximately three years ago for $300. Mine is a No Dash manufactured in 1985.I like the long barreled L Frames. YOu did good. Congrats.
