Hi all,
Just found this sitting on a shelf in a local shop and thought I would share it. She is a LH model 25-14 with a 3 inch barrel and chambered for 45 ACP caliber. It is either NIB or LNIB as I cannot tell yet if it has been fired. Came with correct numbered box and all docs. Also, looking at the LS picture, the vertical line will come out as who ever owned it before had a pair of Hogues' on it and the Factory SB grips are now resting on her.
Correct me if I am wrong but, this is from a run of 250 guns with this one being # 134.
Any input is greatly appreciated as I was not aware these were made in Blue as well as Nickel.
Regards,
Sandy Jacobs

Looks like one of these, advertised at only 250 of each...:
http://www.lewhorton.com/m242529.html
I would like to have one or two in .44 Special. Well, I sure wouldn't turn down one like you posted either...
I think they look great, and there is no other way to get a new factory wheelgun like these. Blued or nickled, 3 " and square butt, in .45ACP, .44 Magnum, or .44 Special...

You know what I almost bought one of those 45's...I love the way it looks and feels. I tried to order one but my guy could not get one. So I found a 3" model 625...I think the 25-14's are beautiful. It looks like a model 27 on steroids....LOL nice looking piece. dont mind the hole over the cylinder release, it is there for an oiling point...LOL

Bought one of the 44 Specials. A bit later I went back to Lew Horton and tried to buy the 44 Magnum. They had sold out. As I understand it only the 44 Magnum sold well. The other two calibers, 44 Special and 45 ACP I think, did not. Those are still in stock. Because of the low sales no more will be ordered. To bad really. I really wanted to get a 44 Magnum to match my 44 Special.

Hi all,
I appreciate your information & was unaware as to how popular these little gems seem to be.
As to the LS of the frame, it appears that there were some Hogue Grips with the "Highside" rubber mounted on it for a while and left a vertical line on the frame. Not being a 'smith, I wonder if any of you have suggestions as to "rubbing this out" without taking off the Blue?
Many thanks,
Sandy Jacobs

Six weeks ago, my dealer searched for the blue ... sold out, but the distributor still had nickeled ones available.

I have a LH 24-6 in nickel, #23. It is one of the most accurate S&W's that I have.

25-14 prefix question
Are all 25-14 3 inch barrels Lew Hortons? I have notice some have a prefix of CLH and others CLF? What is the difference?
Thanks

I think I figured it out. CLH is the blue version and CLF is the nickel version.
