Found a used S&W 625 Model of 1988, 5 inch with rubbers, the guy is asking $595.00 with the box.
Is this a good price for one of these?

I bought this gun about as year ago for $500 as well, and felt I only overpaid slightly at the time. I've seen them go for more.

The model 625 is the only revolver I would be interested in getting. I have most of everything I want but there is always one more.
I don't know if I would buy one if it came along but it would be tempting at 595.00. I will watch this post with interest.

There are fewer and fewer N-frames for less than $600 these days and it would be a buy for me if I didn't already own a pair of 625-3's. I did not get either one of mine for less than $600, but one's a 3-inch, which is not going to happen below $600 anyway. The 625's seem to go a little higher than the other big bores, maybe because the folks that buy factory ammo can get in on these where .45 ACP is a lot cheaper than 41/44/45LC.

I say buy it. That's about a $100 cheaper than dealer cost on a new current production model.
