I saw the M29 (below) during my visit to the museum last week.

Ronald Reagan was a great president and a great American. He was the first president I voted for after turning 18 in 1977. If a visit to this museum doesn't fill your soul with American pride, nothing will. Everyone should go.

They address that in the museum. He didn't know about it. It was his underlings acting independently. But he took ownership of it because he was the man at the top.

If you think they were whitewashing it, I went to the Nixon library the next day. The handling of Watergate was brutal. It was clear that Nixon knew about everything except the actual break-in, before the break-in happened. But he established the culture amongst his people, and was involved in the coverup.

I had the honor of working perimeter security at one of his speeches in 1982. I was carrying a S&W. I respect the office of the POTUS regardless of who occupies it, but I admired that man.

That is truly a worthy tribute.
