My newest S&W: 6" S&W 17-8. I have owned this gun for about two weeks and I have only got it out to the range once but it shoots like a dream. Should prove to be a great companion for my model 41. I have a set of S&W RB Combat grips that should be arriving shortly but other than that this thing is perfect. Would love to see some photos of others guns.

lev83 - that looks like a beauty. I don't own one but have shot a few, so I understand why you like it. Looks like the semi-target hammer which I really like. Have one on my M48. That full lug barrel balances great to me. Enjoy. PEN

lev83,
Very nice. I've been wanting a S&W .22 for some time now. My Bro-in-law has a sweet K22, 5 screw, that is a joy to shoot. I would like to find a nice K22, Model 17, or maybe Model 18 for a shooter. Congratulations on a nice looking piece.
Enjoy!

Jim

I don't have one anymore, they are a fine gun to shoot. I shoot the stocks off my 617. I bet it has 5 to 8000 round down the tube. ayou know what is funny, it can still shoot better than me. Later John

I've had a 17-8 for several years and like it very much. Great gun.

Here's mine. BUT, I sent it to the S&W PC to replace the alloy 10-shot cylinder with a 6-shot SS one and tune it up. I did not like the alloy cylinder at all. It shoots mahvelous.
