Did these guns ever get produced? If so are they still available? Pic?

I saw the special on shooting gallery with him & I remember him saying that he was in talks with S&W to produce one......

Thanks for the thread and link. That is certainly interesting, especially Ross' PDF file on the Smith 500.


LOL, this is the first time I have ever thought of the 3" .44 Magnum as being a "wuss" combination...... My hand hurts just from thinking about the recoil of some of the rounds discussed in Ross' PDF file. I remember Seyfried and others mentioning the recoil of some of the pistols they were having built back in the 1980's.... OK, Ima wuss! Grins..
