Hi All:
A few years ago I bought a 686-5 "plus" model, 4 inch barrel. It has no internal lock system. It does have the MIM hammer with frame mounted firing pin and MIM trigger. I know it's not a "Rare" model in the pure sense of the word but Was thinking of trading it for a more traditional older Model 686-2 in excellent shape. Just didn't want to trade it out if it's an oddball. Also, I'm stuck in California so sometimes that makes a difference. Thanks for any input. c good

It's not a rare gun in any sense but along with the -4 model I count is as one of the best. I think I'd keep it and add the other when possible.
