I located a used 331PD in a gunshop at a decent price but am concerned about bullet restrictions. I seems to me that there are bullet restrictions such as "no lead" and/or >125gr bullets on the 38/357 3-series revolvers. Are similar restrictions on the 32 caliber versions? I have been looking for a 432 or 431 but this is really a good deal but I don't want to be restricted to jacketed only.

Never heard of any restrictions on the 331. I've used 32 magnum jacketed hollow point, 32 long lead round nose, 32 long semi jacketed hollow point and 32 long fmj in my 432pd without issues.

I don't think the restriction applies to the 32 Magnum revolvers due to simple fact that 32 Magnum recoil is not even close to that delivered by 357 Magnums.

The only way to be sure is to download an owner's manual from Smith & Wesson's website or to call their CS department.
