Would anyone know if and when the John Ross Performance Center .500 S&W would be available to California buyers in the near future? The things we have to go through with our laws. If not I plan to get a regular .500 with an 8 3/8 inch barrel.

Lots of CA customers. Make sure your dealer is registered with the state.

Now that I've got the funds it's time to decide. Satin Stainless or Two-Tone...

Glad there is no issue here but never doubt the ability of CA to be STUPID regarding guns.

From a safety perspective, I can't see that the JR model is any different. It just has a different barrel length and lacks a comp, no changes in the trigger area except possibly more attention to fitting.

MUST be something there for CA to get their panties in a wad. Don

Any change in design requires a seperate listing. Different color, barrel length, etc.

Well Lucky Derby, that doesn't change my attitude that CA is STUPID.

A different finish or color should NOT require an additional review/certification. Senseless bureaucrats. They apparently operate under the assumption that no one in the firearms industry can be trusted. Only an engineering change should merit reevaluation.

Does the EPA require each color of car to be certified? Of course not.

I'm not trying to be critical of you personally, I just hate mindless stupidity. Don
