Some awesome pics, guys (and gals ). Lot's of Chief's and Centennials, but not many Bodyguards.

How disturbing.

Anyway...

I have three:

Smith & Wesson Airweight J frame model 38 "Bodyguard" from 1985.

Colt "Cobra" snubbie from 1974.

And...

Smith & Wesson Airweight K frame model 12-2 snub from 1970.

Sorry, no pics. I'm camera illiterate.

Don't be disturbed, maybe I can help....

There's no accounting for taste, or lack thereof.... Some folks just have never got fully tuned to the beauty of the Bodyguard, the Thinking Man's J frame...

Did I mention that Bodyguards... ROCK??

SmithNut's photo more than made up for the lack of Bodyguards in this thread, but here's another small assortment--a pair from the mid-60's, both steel and Airweight; an MSP-variant M38 from 1975, and a 638-1 from 1991:

Awesome pic Smithnut and DC7! Yes, Bodyguards do indeed rock. I only have one...currently. Like a dipshit, I let my model 49 go in lieu of a K frame model 12-2 snubbie. I guess it was a good trade, I just miss that little guy. Words can't express the love I have for the curves of the Bodyguard. It's kinda like a curvy woman. You youngsters can have all them runway models you want. Save the curvy, bootylicious, sturdy women for me.

Default 649 with Esmeralda's

I just received these rosewood picazo boot grips from Esmeralda, and could not resist the temptation to show them on my 649...

After seeing all the no lock guns I'm a bit trepidatious about posting this one. It's my only snubbie. It's been lightly polished, including the MIM trigger and hammer. It's slick, accurate and reliable through about 1500 rounds. I like it.

No need to feel that way, I have a model 60-14, with a lock, and over 1300 rounds fired, it does great. But after seeing yours, I am going to have to get out the Mothers Mag, and spend some time shining her up.

Default .44 Mag

Cocked & Locked, I am glad to see that someone else has a 629 like mine, I was beginning to think noone else liked 2 and a 1/2 inch barreled .44 mags. I am wondering if it came nickel or if you polished your stainless? Mine came as stainless and I am thinking of polishing it and my 686. Last question, is it a pre lock?

Here's a pic:

Thumbs up more like who DOESN'T have a snubbie........

well, some really NICE pictures, so I had to go out and get MYSELF ,a newer "snubby" so I traded off my Ruger LCP for THIS...........

A 640, pre 'lock' era, in a 357 mag, but I still have LOADS of the old S&W Nyclads in the 38 special, I prefer them still...........................

I learned the hard way not to try to shoot a box or two of Nyclads non-stop in one session...couldn't understand why my groups were suddenly spreading out, I was peeling gray plastic stuff out of the bore for quite a while.

Picked these two up today.
The 2" is a S&W model 37, square butt, with a bobbed hammer.
The 3" is a S&W model 36-1, square butt, heavy barrel.

Oh yeah, I like the 2.5" .44 mag. with fixed sights! Mine is polished stainless, and yes it is pre-lock (629-5) and was made in year 2000.

I used Mother's Mag Polish on it a few times. Now I just use Flitz on it at times. I shoot it pretty often...lots of fun. I replaced the original Hogues with the S&W wood pictured.

Default One more Snubby...

Today, I added this one. 325NG

This one really lit up the booth, and the recoil is far milder than expected.

Model 66, manufactured in '77. The previous owner modified it with magna-porting, night sights and an action job. I would have prefered it in original condition but it is a sweet shooter, if not a collectors piece and serves as our HD gun. I replaced the rubber Hogues it originally wore with some cocobolo Ahrends.

I Just looked through ten pages of Snubbies..
WOW!!
I might need therapy after looking at all those Great Smiths Colt & Rugers..
There's absolutely no doubt that a handy little J Frame will get carried when a much bigger & heavier weapon will be left at home..
I never feel outguned when I'm carrying my Airweight 642..
Loaded with the Standard Velocity 125gr Federal Nyclads..
I'm Told that the first step in the 12 step program is to admitt you have a problem..
I DO!@! I Love Snubs..

I still Wanna Know who the Guy is who has the only 942??

Still Looking for a 3" K Frame M547 9mm
Gary/Hk

Here's my little snubby family, a M-19-4, M-640 no dash, a new model M-40, a new no lock M-442 and a Colt Agent vintage 1967. A small family but a happy one!
