Default 625 Cylinder Gap Spec? 625 Box Availability?

What is the correct gap between the cylinder and the barrel for a 625-4?

Can anyone recommend a source for the original box, manual and accessories for this gun?

Barrel/cylinder gap is not critical. S&W says anything between .004 and .010 is within spec. Too small a gap is no good. Junk can build up, and bind the cylinder. Your gun would have come in a Bangor/Punta era folding blue/white cardboard box. Guys used to sell them on eBay. You can try gunbroker.com.

B/C gaps of about .005 - .006" are considered perfect. There is very little loss in muzzle velocity if it increases to .010 or even .012".

What is the down side of a gap greater than .005 and less than .010?
