Default Grips question

I know I saw a post recently about the company that makes the wood grips for S&W. I've searched but, can't seem to find it.

Does anyone know the company that makes the grips for S&W? I'm looking for original stocks for a 60 chiefs special.

I bought a hogue one piece grip from grips 4 guns. It doesn't fit well even after I "worked on it" a bit. There is a 1/16 gap.

Thanks

Altamont is S&W's supplier I believe. If you are looking for checkered round butt service
grips, check the S&W web site.
