It looks nice, have you shot it yet? Hope the red dot can take the inpack the it is in for. If I was going to get the "X" frame, it would be like that one.

Yea I have put about 300rds through it. Half of those my own loads. I have not fired it with the Aimpoint yet, but will let you know how it stands up to the hot flash its going to get. I may need to move it forward. Notice how the lens will be right where the flash will hit it. It may be better if I move it forward and let the frame of the sight take the impact as oposed to the open glass.

Any ideas on this? should I move it forward or leave it as is and test?

I would put it where the rear lens is even with the rear sight.

Good idea BSmith. I think I will do that right away. Now that I think about it, you are right, that would probably be the best place to receive the kind of blast its going to get.

You think I should remove the rubber cover, or leave it on till it gets trashed by the flash?

Looks cool as hell. I'd be real curious as to if you like the red dot and if it holds up.

I would be surprised to see the Aimpoint withstand the recoil with only one attachment point to the gun. Is there any way to mount it to the revolver with two "rings"?

Good luck in any event. Don

The ring is from Aimpoint for this sight. It is wider than 2 rings and uses 6 screws to hold the sight. I tried using 2 warne rings, but they would not space properly with the sight and mount.
