Default 442 on backorder

Hey guys, I just ordered a 442 through the LE program and was told the wait was up to 60 days due to demand. I know when I have ordered weapons from other manufacturers I was given wait times of six to eight weeks and received them as early as the following week. Anyone here have any insight on whether or not 60 days is accurate? Thanks.

Hi, Welcome to the forum. I hope we can feed to your new found revolver addiction.
S&W is like every other gun maker. They will produce a certain amount of guns depending on demand and contracts. I have seen a ton of 642's out there and very few 442's this could be that the 642 is the better seller of the 2 guns, so S&W probably makes more of the 642's...Be paitent they will come soon enough.

That sounds about right. My coworker ordered one throught their federal LEO program at the end of January and they told home it would ship April 30 and it shipped the first week in may. I just found them for $365 locally at sgc.com for leos only but I'm sure with shipping and transfer fees it would be cheaper to pay local retail for you.

I figure if one of the LE suppliers happen to get one in stock before my order is filled, I'll go with the supplier and cancel the order through S&W. Out of curiousity, what is the actual website for sgc.com?
