Default C&S night sights for your night guard series S&W

Hey guys I did finally get a reply back from Clyinder and slide. I simply over looked it.
I asked the question. " Your company makes the rear sight for extreme duty fixed night sight for the S&W night guard series. why is this sight not offered as a night sight.
I recieved this reply.

Mr. Hanna,

This is just great to hear from you.

We do offer this and we can do this for you.

This would be order # SR046W tritium 3 dot in C&S extreme duty fixed set, The cost on this is $ 202.75..

After the sights are on we will have to test fire to set the sights for point of impact. The test fire fee is $38.00

The costs mentioned do not include the shipping.

Very cool option for you guys looking for a set of rear night sights for your night guard series.

that's great... but another $200 on a $900 gun? Whew!

It sounds like they're talking about front and rear sights. I wonder if you could do just the rear or if that would throw everything off.

I dont know what it would do if you just changed out the rear sight. I would want to change out both anyway if I had a night guard. I dont like the big dot front sights.

I took my new 325NG to the range yesterday, and a couple of other shooters commented on the sights.

The sight set seemed ideal for a couple of them. They both thought that the front sight lost its "perfect" circle view when the front and rear sights weren't properly aligned.

I noticed the same thing. When I kept the sights aligned and got the "perfect" circle, the shots went exactly where aimed. The rear sight acts as a sort of "peep" sight, with its semi-circular design.

This isn't to state that a better solution for some shooters would be to have three dots, and aligned for the best sight picture. It seems to work for me.

The day I bought the gun, I shot it indoors, in a dim-light situation, and I noticed that the front sight really stood out.

It just seems to me that the design follows the "front sight, front sight, front sight" maxim applies here.

Hey panama the pistol I just bought has night sites on it. I went to the range today just and all my shots at 20yds were about 1.5 to 2" high and the sight is bottomed out. I have never shot a gun with night sights on it is the problem that you are supposed to actually use the dots for sighting instead of lining up the tops of both sites or what.
