good luck
Good luck, there are many around,
Model 64's NY-1 are very good, my favorite
I have a few, some I shoot alot, some just sit in the safe.
Be aware there are fake NY-1 around and trust me I have seen plenty
One clue is the "NY-1" does not line up and the spacing is off as well, it looks like some guy with a punch and hammer was having a bad day.
Also the fitting of the spurless hammer is horrible, the action is binding and stiff. Later in the early 90's they changed to a bean blast non glare stainless look.(frosted) with the serial # above the trigger guard on the left side as you can see in the pics above. (thanks ladder). The early ones in the late 80's did not have the non glare stainless look.
I hope this helps

J&G Sales has many in different conditions. Do not make a mistake and order the regular spurless 64s. These are newer and have the internal lock and MIM parts. I did not realize that the other day. You may also want to stay away from the frosted finish, if the gun has seen a lot of holster wear the frost has returned to a polish making the gun look ugly.

No, the NY-1 guns are fine. They are listing others that they fail to mention the IL & MIM parts. They should correct their ads. Had I know this I would have paid more for the NY-1. I plan to us my gun for IDPA.

Here's my NY-1 I just bought in person at J&G just last week. They had 14 more plus a ton of the run of the mill versions in various condition. This one cost me $317.06 out the door. Interesting in that it states Model 64 below the NY-1 with no dash. Of the 3 I looked at, this one was the only one marked like this.

Nice looking gun!!
Theres a bunch of us here that really like NY-1s
Is that gun a round butt or square. I was looking at the web site and It looks like one of the groupings could be a round butt 4"?
Heres mine
I havent lettered the 4" but the 3" was NYPD gun
The 4" has a great trigger, as good as my PC revolver...
Id like to find a round butt 4" and a snubby 64 and a ny-1 60, I will find them eventually

Ya know, I had to go pull the grips off of it to see! Its a square butt. A bit large for concealed carry anyway, IMO, but a fine handgun for the price. H.
