I wasn't aware that the .38 super could be had in a revolver. That is a different looking gun.

Some of the guys on Brian Enos forum have been pushing for this one to happen. Based on some of the comments, I'm not sure why they wanted it since they intend on shooting .38 Short Colt in it. Actually it is a good idea because you can shoot .38 Super and 9mm in it.
I personally wish they'd do another run of the 686-7 .38 Supers with chambers that are guaranteed to fit 9mm and .38 Super and .356 barrels.

I have one coming and intend to run 9mm through it. If for some reason 9 doesn't work, I also reload .38 Super.
I have a 686 in .38 Super and run my 9mm load through it with great success.
I should have my 627-4 in a week.

38 colt short won't work in this gun, you have to have one chambered in 357Mag for the colt cartridges to chamber.

Interesting.
I shot an ICORE match Sunday with mine and ran ~230 9mm rounds through it.
I wonder what is the difference?

Per se this isn't a heck of lot different than the ones I believe they ran for Ellett Bros. about 8 years ago.
It appears the cylinder appearance is the biggest difference.

That is the reason I sold it. Because 9mms would not fit.

I would love an N frame that does what I made my model 60 do.
I posted this telling a bit about it.
Convertible model 60, 38/9mm/38 super and 9x23

Nice pic and gun, 505Gibbs. I'd love to see a 686 or 627 in 9mm.

A 9mm has a tapered case, a .38 Super is a straight case. You gotta figure that if you put a 9mm into a Super chamber, it should likely rattle around a bit. I would think there'd be a host of problems. Why not just shoot what the engineers made it for? Rhetorical question.
