Default Something old, something new, and something's missing . . .

After much denial and self-doubt, I finally followed the (correct) advice I received here and put the old main spring back in my TR Model 21-4. Really do miss that sweet trigger pull, but it's still pretty nice. I haven't carried the gun since I had some mis-fires while practicing (had to buy a few more guns! no, she-who-must-be-obeyed didn't buy that story either). Couldn't give up on this gun, though (until I can get a real 3rd or 4th Model HE); probably still keep it. In my experience, the lighter Wolff main springs work fine in the older guns with a hammer-mounted FP, but not so much in the newer ones.

I also replaced the firing pin with a C&S extended version (something new). While I was in there I think something might have fallen out (hmmm). Now, I have much more confidence in this great revolver! It has 50 rounds so far w/o FTF; a little more testing and she'll be wearing leather again.

Man I hate it when stuff just falls out (wink-wink-nod-nod)! I have a box stock new model M-22 that I had a few light primer strikes with. The problem only happened on one range session and only with moon clipped ACP and has since performed flawlessly. My M-21 has never skipped a beat so far.

Putting a lighter trigger return spring in it may make you happy without lightening up the hammer spring, It will have a lighter pull.
13lb has worked well for me with no issues.

Yea, before I did this, I changed from the 13 lb. to the 14 lb., so it is a Wolff, but in the middle. Maybe I'll eventually put the 13 back in, but I'm going to shoot it awhile first.
