Default m19 timing question

I have a m19-3 that fires fine but I have a question about a possible issue. When I slow fire without ammo I notice that the cylinder is still turning as the hammer starts to fall from full cock in da. If I cock the hammer, the cylinder locks up fine. It's almost like it's on the edge of going out of time. On newer revolvers the cylinder lock just before the hammer reaches full cocked but with this one, slow da trigger pull shows the cylinder is just getting to lock as the hammer is falling. Is this an ok condition or is a timing issue about to show itself? Thanks for any help.

John

It's getting a carry up issue, no big deal. You check lock up with fired cases in the chambers, with the trigger fully depressed. If the cylinder fails to lock with the cylinder stop, then you or someone would install and oversizrd hand. Parts are 20 bucks and it's normally a 20 minute job.

When and if it fails to lock, then worry about it. Normal shooting will not cause you any concerns, until it gets much worse.

Great. That's what I wanted to hear. I ordered a hand just in case but maybe I'll let it go a while. Thanks.
