Default Model 10 Double Action Only

I have acquired a Model 10, no dash, that functions perfectly in double action mode but will not function as single action.
Does this sound like a problem or was the gun manufactured like this or converted?
How do I check this out and make it operate in both modes?
Thanks
Bob

The gun has been modified to shoot D/A only.Take it to a gunsmith. He can check if it can be returned to D/A S/A.If not you will need to replace the hammer and maybe the trigger.

You can get them that way from the factory now. I don't THINK it was a factory option when the no-dash models were made, but I could be wrong.

Chances are it's an old LE gun. Many departments (NYPD comes to mine) use to issue double action only model 10's to it's officers. Like others have said, it's a fairly easy process to change it.

Good Luck!
