Default Timing the revolver

It's going to be some time before I can make it to the revolver course. Is there any good matieral out there that would show how to cut and time the cylinder. I have a few donner pistols to pratice on.

Thanks in advance.

Joe.

Normally, you don't file the lugs further, you just change the hand, fitting of the hand window is sometimes needed. The window is filed (left side only) just enough to have the hand fit & not bind in the window. You need a safe file for the ratchets, window file for the hand.

The only "book" source that I know of, outside the factory armourer course that covers the timing from cylinder unlock to lock up is the Jerry Kuhnhausen shop manual.
