3913, Can I remove the ambidextrous, right side safety lever?
The right side lever annoys me and adds a little width to the pistol. Looks like a pin holds it in? Or will the whole safety then slide out the left side?

Your link is not working right...but, anyway...
The safety will not fall out for a couple of reasons, but just taking out the lever will leave you with two sharp semi-circles of metal sticking out. To get rid of it, you will have to buy a whole new left-side only safety to replace it.

Thanks. I tried 5 times to re copy that link and it still comes back as a another link I copied and pasted. Strangest thing I've seen, I tried pasting in a new thread and it works

Or you could grind the end of the existing safety flush with the slide? Seems like I read about that years ago in a magazine article.

I don't dislike it that much I'll see if I can find the parts.

As I recall, the 3913 ambi safety is held by a spring and plunger.
Simply use a punch to push in the plunger through the hole in the right side of the safety and slide the finger lever off.
Remove the spring and plunger.
One "trick" is to make up a stainless "filler" that will fit into the slot and you eliminate the sharp edges.
If you plan on never selling the gun you can simply cut down the removable safety and reinstall it into the slot.

I cut mine to just flush with the slide after running a stainless screw into the hole left behind the ambi lever, it functions fine but looks ugly. I went ahead and ordered the LS part to replace it this past week, about $60+ for a new one!
Here is a photo

I love the looks of that modified round backstrap 3906 grip on the 3913s, I bet it realy fills the hand out for guys with a bit bigger mitts.. Does it have the Hogue grip retainer inside to capture the mainspring? NICE!!
Also Numbrich had those safety levers marked for Ladysmith under 3913..

That "mod" actually does not look bad. The grip(s) look really nice!
Where did you order the parts from?

I can't recall where the grips came from, they are 3906 grips that I cut down and reshaped to fit. There is a Hogue mainspring retainer under the grips to keep everything together, there was a lot of trimming involved to get it to fit. I ordered the LS safety from Numrich, I have not received the part yet but it has only been a couple of days.
