Default SW 4046 Double Action only to Single action

I just got a SW 4046 Tatical that is double action only, I would like to convert to double/single action and install a decocking lever. I would like some advice if you done this before.

Never having looked inside a 4046 Tactical, I can only venture an educated guess; Probably you would only have to get a new hammer for a 4006 and replace the existing hammer. At the max you would have to replace hammer and trigger both with parts for the 4006. If you have never been inside a S&W autoloader download an assemble/disassemble booklet first and read up. .....Big Cholla

Thanks for the reply, I don't like the double action only trigger pull, and was hoping some one in the forum had converted one before

I made a 5906 TSW into a DAO gun, easy swap of parts at the time, but the parts kit was over $100 IIRC.

TPD thanks for the response I am getting prices of $180 for the conversion and was hoping to get the part list I needed for the conversion. I know a couple of smiths that would do the work for dinner so I was hoping to go that route. I flew back from KC last night I should of checked my post first

If you have the parts it's a simple detail strip and reassemble, less than a ten minute job for an armorer.
