Default S&W 500 firing pin problem

So I went to shoot my s&w 500 today. I loaded it up and went to cock the hammer. The hammer wouldnt go back. I noticed that the back of the casing was getting caught up on the firing pin. I unloaded it and tried pushing the firing pin back and it wouldnt budge. I tried dry firing it and the pin didnt move at all. What could be causing this? Could something be stuck behind it?How good is s&w's warranty? Im the second owner of this gun. Will that be a problem with s&w warranty department?

Maybe the bushing is damaged snagging the firing pin.
Look in the FAQ, it's easy to take the pin out and check it out.

Sounds like someone put a C&S extended firing pin in it. You need to pull the side plate and take the firing pin out and see what's wrong. If it's an extended pin the surface the hammer hits will be spherical instead of flat like a stock pin. I assume you were dry firing the gun before this happened?

Well it looks like the tip of the firing pin had some displaced metal on the head preventing it from going back. Where can I order the firing pin and other parts from?
