S&W 411 ??Novak
I have a 411 that I would like to put Novak's on. S&W customer service says I will have to have the slide milled. Novak told me some years back (99 probably) that they didn't make any to fit it. Anybody found any that will?? Thanks, Mike

OK lot of views no replies, if you have looked in to the same and found it can't be done unless as stated, that comment would be appreciated too

I have a mod 411 that I swapped a 4006 stainless slide on 1997, Best of both worlds at the time. Stainless, ambi, sights, with an alum frame. Might be cheaper also

The dovetail on the 411 is the same as the Novaks, the slide just needs to be mill flat behind it to clear the rest of the sight.

Novak used to make a sight that would fit a 1911 slide with no milling involved. Milling with a file involves a lot of patience and good workbench and level and the first time the teeth chatter you'll likely have a proverbial heart attack.
