Default 66-1 wont engage

Alright, well I have a question that I have yet to understand myself. I was at the gun show and picked up a 66-1 for 250. Well I cycled it to make sure it was ok pointed down. Well when I did it again it seems the hand comes undone and goes backwards. It rides loose it seems and wont engage the "dogs". I provided pictures so you could see. I think it may be a spring but who knows. Thanks guys

Or the spring is just not engaged. It's tricky to get the spring pushed back behind the pin correctly when re-installing the hand, or the pin could be too short or broken.

I will bet a dollar to a doughnut that 'gbw' is right. The hand spring wasn't engaged correctly. It is simple to do after one knows what the engagement is supposed to look like. Get a book with that diagram; ease out the hammer then the recoil block and then the trigger. Engage the hand spring correctly and then put it all back with a little oil. Good to go! ..........
