Smile Refinishing Revolver Cost

Hi:
I have an old Colt Official Police .38 that the bluing is thin. Negative rust or pits. Local Gunsmith gave a estimate of $100.00 because there would be very little polishing needed.
Is this a reasonable charge?
Thanks,
Jimmy

I suppose it is a fair price, but there is surface prep aside from polishing, disassembly/reassembly...have you seen his work? It may turn out fine but it may look bad afterward too.
