mkk41,
This is not exactly what you posted, but this might be a possible substitute.

The bright green smiley face should have told everyone I was JOKING!
Who in their right mind would do something like this?

That's a good way to lower the value of your Python..
I'd still give $500 for it..

That almost makes the S&W internal lock look elegant and appealing by comparison.

I didn't think you were serious, I just wanted to let you know that there were places out there attempting to make the revolver "safer".
I was always taught "treat a gun as if it were always loaded", "know where your trigger finger is" along with "keep the barrel pointed in a safe direction". My dad also told me "safety is between the ears". My father taught me about the barrel direction by putting a three foot dowel in the barrel of his revolver to let me know it could be easy to "forget" where the barrel is pointed (much easier to "forget" than a rifle is).
Sorry if I sounded serious.

Added safety device
When we were NYCPD Gunsmiths an explicit order came through that we were not under any circumstances install the safety as shown on any weapons owned or used by NYC Law enforcement officers.

Anybody else notice the link to the Magna-trigger conversion? I thought the Magna-trigger died a quiet death years ago. Apparently the same company installs both systems and the ad even mentions having both systems installed on a gun. And we thought the IL was a bad idea!

Some folks just can't be safe enough. As in to the point of safety becoming fatal. There is a new .22lr pocket pistol along the lines of the jennings, lorcin, etc ****-ola guns that has litterally like 4 or 5 safety devices built into it. I watched my favorite dealer get stumped by it trying to make it ready to fire and immediately vowed I would never own one.

Imagine having a loaded revolver & you needed it to protect yourself & you don't have your magnetic ring on, or that hand is injured & you can't swap the ring to the other hand quick enough..
I just don't believe in a revolver having a switchable safety or lock..
They should all come with a lock, the type that comes in the case & is never used, I do like the Huge Ruger Padlock, wish S&W would come out with that type, you could use it on your barn door..
