Who can i trust to drill and tap my 657?
Who would be trust worthy to drill and tap my 657 for scope mounts? Smith & Wesson? Like to be able to take the gun to the smith I live in S.E Pa. near Phila Thanks

I know SW does it, just a matter of cost (shipping plus labor). I believe a good gunsmith could, but if he screwed it up, the gun would be hosed.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "S.E. PA near Phila". Is that Delaware County? Bucks? Western Montco? If it were me (Western Montco) I'd go to Topton and see Randy Hollowbush at The Handgunner Custom Gunshop. He's just below Allentown.

Call S&W and get an estimate, then find a local smith and get a quote. Just go from there, but I'd be more inclined to S&W keeping the paperwork if you sell one day it shows it was a factory job.

Thanks guys I am 1 hr from Allentown Pa i know the Topton area. Not far. i dont want the gun screwed up (Literally) so I will pay a professional smith. Too many "Ham fisted" so called expert "gunsmiths" Rick (P.S It is my favorite pistol( 6 in)
