Default model 60 Cylinder ridge

I took apart the cylinder on my model 60 to give the ejector rod assembly a good cleaning.

There is a thin ridge of metal around the center hole under where the ejector star ratchet rests.

can this be safely cleaned and removed - is this normal? Is this machining remnants or a wear buildup?

thanks

It's left by machining.
Best just leave it alone other than cleaning the area with a toothbrush.
