I have a re-blued 1st Model 44 Hand Ejector. The re-blue is actually quite well done - not perfect but a pretty clean job. What isn't as good is that the previous owner tried the cheep way of re-finishing the hammer and trigger. That's where you spread oil on the parts and burn it off with a torch. Gives a multi colored finish that's a poor imitation of color case-hardening.
I have seen numerous comments here about a guy who does excellent CCH work but for the life of me can't remember the name. If someone knows who I'm referring to, or can recommend someone they know who does good work, could you please post a name and contact information. I want to get the Triple Lock's hammer & trigger done and improve the overall appearance.
