Default Mixing up parts

Ever re-installed the same parts in error?

I bought the Apex hard sear and the USB to improve the trigger on my M&P compact. Somehow in the process, I managed to take out the sear and put the same sear back in. Maybe that phone call in the middle of things had something to do with it.

Anyway, I wasn't so impressed by the upgrade and started wondering if I screwed up. Googling images of the sear today, clued me in, I had put the OEM part back in.

Let me tell you, the second time you do this with a manual safety M&P it is a lot quicker.

The trigger is now a lot better.

I really hate brain farts.

I ain't never done it on a gun, but I did it on a CR 250 Honda Elsinore.
I blew 2nd gear and bent the shift fork. I bought new parts. I then split the cases, removed the defective parts, drank a few beers, then put the same parts back in. Took it out for a test ride and it was still screwed up.
Live and learn.
Peace,
gordon

If you haven't done it, you haven't had enough guns apart. I have become much more careful after doing it on a hard to replace part. Cheer up you may do it again if you live long enough.

I've only done it when replacing extremely hard to get to parts (teeny springs, roll pins, etc.)

I will even admit to getting so mad at myself I threw my best screwdriver against the wall. But.....it went through the paneling and and fell behind the paneling to the floor. No way to retrieve it without removing a lot of wood.

It's still there.
