Default S&W Repair Service

I was curious as to whether S&W can still work on pistols such as the 645 and 4506 for all problems. Example, I had read somewhere where they no longer had the machine that was used to stake in the barrel bushing for these models(others such as the 4566 included) if it comes loose. I don't know all the ends and outs of that statement but I did see it somewhere. Apparently someone had ran across this problem. Not that the bushing should present a problem normally but-food for thought.

Anyone know of this or have heard of it?

I had asked about converting a slide safety/decocker on a third gen into a decock only and was told that they no longer have the program on their CNC equipment to perform that job.

I ask them if they could replace the one piece front sight on my 67 with a gold dot patridge......sorry, we no longer do that.
