Default Red Dot Suggestions for a AimTech Mount

I have an AimTech Optic mount for my K frame that I got at a really good price . It is a solid mount but very tall. So Far I have tried a BSA 25mm Red Dot which shoots about 3" high at 15 yards even turned all the way down with a 158 gr bullet 38 spl load traveling at about 850 fps. Has anyone ever used one of these and what kind of optic did you use? Any suggestions as to what dot style optic works best with tall mounts?
