Recommend a good S&W gunsmith in Southern NY/Western CT?
I'm beginning to get a little collection going and might need the services of a good gunsmith in the future. I ask for one in NY or CT since I have permits for those states and can avoid crazy shipping fees, rather just bring the gun in person.
thanks, Rob

Rob,
Give North Cove Outfitters a call.
They are in Old Saybrook CT and work with a local gunsmith who is very good (old-school) and reasonable. The gun room is toward the back of the store.
Ask for Brian or Mark. I know both of them personally and they're good guys to work with.
Tell them Chris sent you.

Personally, I've never dealt with them (due to lack of need), but guys I know swear by them.

I'll second JOJO'S I've used them a few time's but a buddy of mine has used them a lot. There not fast or real cheap but do very nice work from blueing to building rifle's also they are known for working on 1911's.I've seen a few of there custom S&W revolvers and they were sweet.
