Unhappy Breaktop Hard Trigger Pull ?
I have a nickled S&W 4th model breaktop in .38S&W caliber. It has a very hard trigger pull. I pulled the hard rubber stocks and soaked it for several days in solvent. Took off the sideplate and gently brushed it with and old solvent coated toothbrush. Dried it out and used a good gun oil on it. It is still hard to pull. It does lockup tight with no endshake or side play. Your advice on correcting this problem is appreciated.

Soak the works of your Top Break (- any rubber or wood) in Kroil oil overnight. Clean off with WD-40 and let me know how it went.
